Arsenal Close in on Queens Park Rangers Forward Loic Remy

Arsenal are closing in on a move for Queens Park Rangers' Loic Remy as they look to add some firepower to their attacking line.. Rangers boss, Harry Redknapp, revealed last month that the France international has an £8m release clause which Arsenal are reportedly prepared to trigger. Remy impressed on loan at Newcastle last season, bagging 14 goals, and he is understood to have made a move to North London a priority as he searches for Champions League football.. The Gunners have been looking for a striker to support Olivier Giroud for a while now and Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata are also targets being considered.. Loic Remy could be the ideal signing for Arsenal as with such a low release clause, much of Wenger's reported £100m war chest would remain to sign a new right-back after Bacary Sagna's exit. The Arsenal boss is also chasing a defensive central-midfielder and a back-up goalkeeper..
